Wouldn't have been out of place in a French or Italian city.

The only downside that we noticed was the smell of cigarette smoke in the room in the morning - not sure if smoking is allowed in the rooms or somewhere else on the property. This was a bit of a dampener on our experience, but it didn't affect our overall impression of the hotel, which was great.
